been watching ”losing it” with jillian michaels on youtube the past couple of days. this is the first episode.

now, she does do my head in a little bit here and there with the cheesiness haha, but hey i can let her off for that!

so this is the full ‘banish fat boost metabolism’ workout i just did today. i hope it works for anyone who wants to try it!

the great thing is, no equipment is necessary, so no excuses!

i love you jillian, but really, why do you try so hard to kill me?

so i did her workout today - ‘banish fat, boost metabolism’ (i think its called that anyway haha, i really cant bring myself to drag myself over to the dvd case to check), and its a good long sweat fest of just over 40 minutes.

no equipment, just good old fashioned high knees, butt kicks, sumo squat hops, front, side and back kicks, punches, star jumps, plank oblique twists, mountain climbers etc etc etc.

seriously, i was sweating like a lunatic! i thought we were done, at the end of the last circuit, and she said ”just two more circuits until cool-down!!” haha i wanted to cry!! ok, so each circuit is only six minutes long, but still!! when you are already wanting to lie on the floor and close your eyes, twelve minutes can seem like a lifetime!

but wow, i felt amazing afterwards.

there is NO feeling like finishing a damned good workout.

i cant see how anyone doesnt like jillian michaels, yes, she is no-nonsense, and doesnt fanny about saying crap like ”its ok…..come on…just do what you can!!”. she pushes you, but seriously, whats wrong with that? i adore how she works. i love that woman! she’s everything i would need in a personal trainer.

wow i really need to de-stress. im going insane today.

ive worked out, ive done my live-fit strength workout (back and biceps), and ive walked for an hour, plus ive done a 20 minute jillian workout (kickbox fastfix) didnt seem to last two minutes, never mind twenty!

it was too ‘fast’. too much co-ordination involved for my liking. i am crap at that, and it just puts me off my stride. oh well i kept up as well as i could, and put the right amount of effort and energy in, so thats ok. i just kept getting a bit lost, but i think actually thats more my state of mind today.

it isnt THAT complicated really. i will try it again tomorrow.

anyway, yeah, my workouts really havent helped, but im sure i would feel a whole lot worse if i HADNT done it.

so altogether, thats three workouts ive done today! go me! ok, so one of them was only a ten minute one, but never mind, it all counts!

well my youngest has gone off for the rest of the day with his grandparents, my middle boy has gone on the x-box, and my eldest is having a bath, then he will no doubt be off with his little friends from across the road, so i can definitely fit in my other workout.

only problem right now is that i forgot to have my last insulin injection (im doing things differently now, after advice from my doctor. im having a little dose every time i eat, rather than bigger doses a couple of times a day, and i have the old way so ingrained in my brain, its sometimes hard to get into this new habit!), so my sugar has gone WAY up. i cant exercise when its like, so i will just have to wait for it to drop back down.

but then, yes, ‘burn fat and boost your metabolism’ here i come!!

onto phase 2 of todays workout.

just done my live fit routine for today, which has really worked those triceps! and now im about to do my ten minute sparkpeople bootcamp video (cardio).

i re-joined sparkpeople yesterday to log my cals and exercise, as i really do need that discipline to keep my focused and accountable.

and then hopefully i will be able to fit in my new jillian workout, but even if i dont (i have my three boys at home, and sometimes i just cant grab the half an hour in front of the tv screen that i need) ive done enough today.

but i WILL try! because i really want to see what the workout is like :)

so today i am going to start jamie easons live fit trainer programme, phase one, but she says to not do cardio for the first phase. i cant not do cardio. im pretty sure that is just for people who are completely new to exercise, and she says its because women tend to do too much cardio, thinking it will get rid of all their fat.


but i have to cycle to work, and even though i HATE cardio, lol, apart from my cycling, i have to do some.


she also says its more to do with the fact that she really wants you to concentrate on strength training for now, but thats ok,  i can do that anyway.


so i am also going to start on my new jillian michaels dvd - ”boost your metabolism”.


im also going to eat well. this extra weight that has sneaked back on WILL come back off !!

so i worked my upper and lower body yesterday, and im still nervous at working my abs, because im STILL not completely 100%, so instead i will do a ”ripped in 30” level 2 workout. ok, so that does work my abs, but only like a few minutes of it, rather than just concentrating fully on them.

hope i dont throw up during :p

i really want to start running again you know. really really really.

you know what, im going to do ripped, then im going to go for a short walk/jog, start from the beginning. if i cant keep up to it like last time, then its not the end of the world, but i really have to keep giving it a go. i was really making progress last time, and i was so disappointed that i just quit like that.

i have someone coming to see me at ten (ten minutes from now), then i will get started.

you see, now ive said it here, i HAVE to do it. and im going to quickly post it, so i dont have chance to go delete anything before i say it to you lovely people :p
